The Canada-Saskatchewan job grant provides employers with funding to train new or existing employees to meet the skill requirements for available jobs. Grant on hold until April 1, 2025.
New mandatory standardized training requirements for those wanting a Class 1 commercial license in Saskatchewan to drive semi trucks featuring a minimum 121.5 hours (4 to 5 weeks) of training (in-classroom, in-yard, and behind the wheel).

Five years trucking experience necessary, Grade 10 or GED equivalency, criminal record check, integrity, mechanical ability would be an asset. Excellent communication skills required; ability to work alone, time management, and organizational skills needed. Willing to assist in training for Instructors Certificate. Wages and bonuses based on performance and commitment (TBA).
